A New Level of Bite Indication
Pre-bite indication, or a liner as we know it, has changed significantly since I have switched over to the EV-R alarms. For most of my angling, in fact all of my angling, prior to using these, I used a roller wheel system. Now, fishing with tight lines like a lot of the time I do, getting a liner was almost non-existent because a roller wheel isn’t able to pick this up.
Sensing a Bite Before It Happens
Since changing over to vibration though, you almost get the pre warning that a bite is going to happen. When the fish are feeding, their fins are hitting the lines, their tails, and normally any other alarms won’t pick this up – however, a Delkim will! I will receive a bleep or two before receiving that one-toning warble.
Picking Up the Signs Before a Bite
If you’re not receiving a bite when you think that you should’ve done and you’ve had a lot of indication on your alarm, in the form of single bleeps, you know you probably need to top up with bait, or even recast. It might just be that you aren’t quite on the spot, or worse still, the rig is tangled. These alarms DEFINITELY help you put more fish on the bank.
